QuakerSpeak is seeking a podcast editor. This is an unpaid volunteer position, and the candidate will work remotely. The time commitment is flexible, to be determined collaboratively based on the skills and availability of the best‐fit applicant.
Qualifications include: an interest in Quaker faith and practice; a familiarity with QuakerSpeak and its format; audio editing and project management skills; ability to collaborate with QuakerSpeak director and complete projects on a deadline.
Roles of the podcast editor:
- Works with QuakerSpeak director to put together a weekly podcast using audio from our video interviews
- Combines voiceover, interview and music into full episode
- Sends bounced audio to be mixed and mastered

- Why are you interested in helping with the QuakerSpeak podcast?
- How would you describe yourself as a podcast listener?
- What experience do you have with audio editing?
- What do you see as the potential for a Quaker podcast? How might you like to be involved in taking the QuakerSpeak podcast closer to fulfilling this vision?

Contact information for two references who have worked with you in a Quaker or professional capacity (committee work counts!).
A demonstration of audio editing skills: please assemble the attached files into a full podcast episode, include fade-ins and fade-outs but not mixing or mastering (no compressors or EQS)
Additionally, you may include the following information, but it’s not required: resume, professional C.V., or LinkedIn page; links to any applicable blogs or websites.

The podcast editor will gain access to the podcast@friendsjournal google account in order to send official FJ emails and share files with the QuakerSpeak director.

Like our other volunteers, the podcast editor will receive a free annual subscription to Friends Journal during service with the organization.
